This is a common question we’re asked by dentists: What are clear aligner attachments? In this video, we explain how dentists should think about this in practice.
They are just small additions that are made to your teeth that create an extra surface for the aligner to put pressure on really to move your teeth. They’ll kind of look and feel like a bit of a thin grain of rice attached to your teeth. They’re often either tooth coloured or translucent, so they’re very difficult to spot. You kind of catch them in different types of lights where you might see them, but most people don’t even notice that you’ve got them on.
And yeah, they’re really there to aid and assist the progress of your treatment.
