So we’re regularly asked if kids can have treatment with Smilelign Clear aligners. And from a technical point of view, yes, there’s no real issue with that. Obviously, once they’ve dentally developed and they’ve got their adult teeth, then we’re quite happy to do that.
It does become a bit of a problem from a compliance perspective in all honesty, and that’s the real question that we ask clinicians to ask of their patients or the patient’s parents usually. So typically from about sixteen years plus, we don’t get that many problems, But any younger than sixteen tends to be that aligners may go astray at school or anything like that. And that can become a real problem, is something that you don’t really get with conventional fixed orthodontics. So that’s really a question for yourself, the patient and the parent to have and have an open and honest conversation about it.
