Step 1
Ensuring the template is clean, check the fit on the teeth.

Prepare the teeth that will have the attachments placed in line with your chosen composite manufacturer’s instructions.
Step 3
Ensure the soft lining is placed correctly inside the hard shell. Making sure the template is dry, place a small amount of composite in the void where the attachment will be. You can use flowable or paste composite. If using paste, a spatula may be required to firmly pack the void.
Step 4
Seat the template firmly onto the teeth, ensuring it is fully seated around the arch.
Step 5
Cure the composite according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Step 6
Remove the outer shell first, followed by the soft inner lining, and test that the attachment is firmly bonded. Remove any excess or flash with usual composite polishing burs, ensuring you do not alter the shape of the attachment in the process.
