So again with Smilelign we’re dealing with adult patients. A number of adult patients do have missing teeth and they may be having an implant in there, they may have a crown, they may have a bridge etc etc.

Can we maintain that space while we’re doing clear aligner treatment? Absolutely. And one of the easiest ways we do that is we put a pontic in the absent tooth’s place to maintain that space while the aligners are being worn and once we reach the treatment’s conclusion, whatever the next dental treatment is, the space should be maintained by that pontic holding that space for them.
