This is a common question we’re asked by dentists: Is there a limit to the number of Smilelign clear aligners per case? In this video, we explain how dentists should think about this in practice.

In terms of a hard limit for the total amount of aligners with a Smilelign case, there isn’t one really. We just bear in mind what’s realistic and achievable. Obviously, if a patient is having to sign up to wear eighty aligners for example, it’s very unlikely that they’re going to maintain the same level of compliance and enthusiasm that they had at the start. So we would often recommend other forms of treatment or using pre expansion devices in that instance.
