Can patients with Implants be treated with Smilelign?

This is a common question we’re asked by dentists: Can patients with Implants be treated with Smilelign? In this video, we explain how dentists should think about this in practice.

Quick answer to that is yes, as long as they’re not all implants. We just need to know which implants are in place and which tooth, you can note that on your prescription or in your information when you send a scan. And our technicians will bear that in mind when they come to applying any force to any tooth. We obviously don’t want to apply any unnecessary force to an implant and we should probably not expect them to move.

Other than that, yes, you’re absolutely free to do clear aligner treatment with patients who do have some implants.
